In conclusion I found the Trekker sock ideal for general hiking, it provided a good contoured fit and breathed well. I mostly wore the Trekker sock in combination with a three season leather boot, opting for a lighter hiking sock for trail shoes or trainers.
The Bridgedale Trekker mid-weight sock use a unique wool blend which provides warmth in winter and breathability in summer. At a retail price starting at £11.99 these socks will serve you well. In addition to wearing the Trekker socks in the mountain I also wore them on long woodland and road trails.
It’s worth noting that since changing to technical socks I’ve had no trouble with blisters. A good performing technical sock, which I recommend.
