An occasional climber and regular outdoor runner, Rusty enjoys varied outdoor pursuits and even indulges in a little quiet bird watching to relax after a few gruelling days in the hills. Rusty also trains regularly in multiple martial arts disciplines and is an enthusiastic advocate of self defence amongst others in outdoors circles.

A Downpatrick man born and bred, Spud has been enjoying the wonders of nature and outdoor activities since he was a child. Spud hikes and camps regularly in the Mournes and all over Ireland and his love for the country is particularly evident in his writing.

A personal trainer by trade, Claire enjoys outdoor activities with an element of challenge. A frequent hiker of the Mournes and the Sperrins, Claire also enjoys taking her dog Cash along for the trip.
